Stronger in numbers
Mugaritz emerged in an isolated environment, but we soon understood that growing was a group effort.
Years of working with other organizations led us in 2014 to Dig Eat All, a business incubator for companies in the digital food and tech industry.
The startup support project was originally the brainchild of Altazor Ventures. Soon Mugaritz, Mapamundi and the Basque Culinary Center joined forces. In each call for entries, 10 startup companies were invited to present their products or services. Selected companies were given a place to develop their project, as well as expert mentorship and inspiration.
Over the course of five weeks, the founders of the selected startups had the chance to meet with leading food industry entrepreneurs and celebrated chefs such as Gastón Acurio. They also took part in a variety of activities including a hike accompanied by Basque mountaineer Edurne Pasaban. The aim of this initiative was to give participants useful information and inspiration to shape their business ventures.
