Andoni Luis Aduriz presents "Multi-sensory culinary liturgies" at San Sebastian Gastronomika 2015
This year’s presentation was a tribute to Juli Soler
Andoni Luis Aduriz presented in the latest edition of San Sebastián Gastronomika in the Kursaal Auditorium “Multi-sensory culinary liturgies”. He offered a reflection on the rites, symbols and codes which embedded in our everyday lifes. The attendees witnessed the transition between life and dead represented in the form of the Live cannellone or the parodic homenaje of french cuisine with Bovis maxima: vive la France!, for example. Both dishes appeared on Mugaritz's this year’s menu. Through these concepts Aduriz demonstrated that “we eat symbols”. This year’s presentation was a tribute by his team to which Andoni considers “the master of rituals”: Juli Soler.
