Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine and Andoni Luis Aduriz conclude their collaboration with fulfilled objectives
Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine Hotel and Andoni Luis Aduriz will close this December the collaboration in which both parts have joined efforts over five years with the purpose of building an excellent gastronomic-offer in this unique area. The hotel and Aduriz have verified that this counselling agreement has already met its objectives -to train the Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine team with Mugaritz team and to surface the style of its gastronomic restaurant- and, afterwards, both parties have agreed to positively assess the joint work carried out since 2012.
Throughout these five years, Andoni Luis Aduriz has counselled the LeDomaine team in order to create a suitable gastronomic experience that would be up to the standards of the ancient 12th century Abbey of monks rebuilt by Abadia Retuerta.
In 2014 the creative interpretation of the tradition and the proximity to the Castilla y León local product were awarded with the first Michelin star for the Refectorio Restaurant, one of the objectives of this alliance.LeDomaine and Mugaritz team have developed other two gastronomic formula, each one adapted to each space inside the Abbey.
The consultancy has been focused on the transmission of tools and knowledge together with the team of Mugaritz. Marc Segarra, chef in Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine, and his predecessor, Pablo Montero, “have built a proposal with its own personality and its language”, stated Andoni Luis Aduriz.
