Mugaritz Creativity Program

A pioneering program for professionals who want to develop their creative skills and incorporate new ways of thinking and seeing. Combining nearly three decades of Mugaritz’s knowledge with an exceptional teaching team—including anthropologists, sculptors, chemists, nutritionists, and artists—we will explore, using the gastronomic context as a foundation, how ideas, contexts, and processes are created to broaden perspectives and stimulate each individual’s creativity.

A 6-month program at Madrid Culinary Campus (MACC), including a one-week residency at Mugaritz during the creative period. See the information brochure

What is this program for?

  • Enhance innate creative competencies.
  • Increase the capacity for innovation.
  • Expand the possibilities for producing results, both personal and organizational, particularly in the gastronomic sector.
  • Develop in the individual a predisposition toward the creative process by stimulating skills such as curiosity, discipline, assertiveness, and negotiation ability.
  • Strengthen the capacity to undertake ventures, lead teams, and work collaboratively in networks.
  • Drive a change that begins in the way we perceive, transforms the way we think, and materializes in new ways of doing—to influence the world we are building

Who is this program for?

The Mugaritz Creativity Program is primarily aimed at professionals, whether from the gastronomic field or not, who wish to expand their creative capacity to improve their processes, drive innovation, and strengthen their leadership in contexts marked by complexity, pressure, and uncertainty. It is designed for those seeking to develop new ways of thinking and acting, incorporating creativity as a tool applied to decision-making, team management, and the evolution of their own projects.

At the same time, its cross-disciplinary approach makes it especially suitable for profiles from other sectors—such as creative industries, business, design, or science—who want to transfer these competencies to their respective fields. The program opens professional pathways in areas such as creative direction, experience design, innovation consulting, or the development of new products and business models, as well as culinary R&D, gastronomic conceptualization, entrepreneurship, and the facilitation of creative processes.

What does it consist of?

This program is not a conventional training plan, but an experience where practice, thought, sensitivity, and action intertwine to transform your perspective. Through gastronomy as a language and creative laboratory, we will explore how perception, ethics, and culture give meaning to what we do.

You will learn to master cutting-edge tools and processes, such as Design Thinking, to collaborate in dynamic ecosystems and turn crises into opportunities for breakthrough. All of this culminates in an intensive practice that leads to your own personal project.

Over 30 guest professionals

Each session is an inspiration, a different perspective. We have a network of over 30 guest professionals from fields as diverse as neuroscience, philosophy, design, and technology, who in each session contribute their experience and vision to address the different topics of the creativity program.

How can I enroll?
