Once a month the newspaper Berria dedicates a few pages to the fearless adventurer Izaro and Fi-Fi the parrot as they travel the world discovering new foods and food cultures they’ve never seen before.

From Paris to Mexico to Istanbul’s great bazaar, Izaroren abenturak is the result of a collaborative effort between Jesús Mari Olaizola (a.k.a. Txiliku), acclaimed author of Basque children’s literature, Mugaritz and illustrator Eider Eibar.
