Jos\u00e9 Belmonte has been in charge of interpreting the writings by Madar\u00e2sz and giving them life and graphic validity, and Andoni Luis Ad\u00fariz has done the same, providing the beasts with a gastronomic interpretation, photographed by Usagi Enoki. Among the more than one hundred and fifty beasts he described in his notebooks, we have selected thirty as a sample. It has not been an easy election. Madar\u00e1sz showed us the path: to scrutinize the obvious, to scrape it and to turn it over as many times as needed, until the stone causes a spark.
