How can I make a reservation?
To make a reservation you first need to complete the online form, which you can find in the reservation area of our website. We will send a booking confirmation and a code to the email address given in the form. At the time of making the reservation , a charge of  €115 per diner will be made. This amount will be subtracted from the final bill. If you are not able to attend, you can modify the reservation or transfer it to another person. The deposit is non refundable, except duly accredited cases of force majeure.

What happens after I send my reservation ?
Your reservation will not be confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from our reservation team. We will send you an email to the email address given in the form.In this email you can confirm the reservation and inform us of allergies or intolerances that you may have.

If I need to cancel my reservation, what should I do?

If you are not able to attend, you can modify the reservation or transfer it to another person.  If you need to cancel a reservation, you can cancel it by clicking on the "cancel" button in the confirmation or reconfirmation email we have sent you. You can also cancel your reservation by sending an email to reservas@mugaritz.com or by calling 0034 943 522455.

In case of no- on the day of your booking, the deposit will not be refunded and the booking cannot be rescheduled or transferred to a third party.

I want to change the date of my reservation. What should I do?

If you wish to change your reservation, you can change the date, the of the booking and number of people up to 48 hours in advance. In case of making changes outside this period, the amount of 115 € made in the initial application will not be deducted from the final invoice.

If the notification is made in time, the amount of additional diners will not be refunded but the advance will be deducted  on the final invoice. Late-term modifications lead to the loss of  115 € per person.
 
I want to increse the number of diners in my reservation. What should I do?
 
If you wish to increase the number of diners in your reservation, you will have to make a new in the "reservations" section of the website, with the number of additional diners (not the total number of diners) and with the same as the original reservation. We will then add the additonal diners to your original booking. Our reservations team will take care of the change of diners in your reservation.

What is the tasting menu like?

Mugaritz offers a unique menu which represents the essence of its cuisine and philosophy. Our menu which includes more than 23-25 proposals, often changes in order to mimic the change of stations and a glimpse of our surroundings. The construction of a menu like ours, requires enormous efforts in the pursue of perfection and singularity, however, the result is a personalized experience which we know, will be unique.

In order to design your menu, we will consider all the information you give us (prior to your visit) regarding allergies, dislikes or any food related restriction. Even those ingredients you simply would rather avoid. 

Is there a menu?

In Mugaritz there is no a la carte option. You will enjoy a menu designed especially for you.

How long does eating at Mugaritz take?
Our diners normally take up to 2,5 hours to fully enjoy the menu. 

How much does the tasting menu cost?
The price of the menu is 253 € including taxes. Drinks are not included

Is wine pairing available?
We recommend that as soon as you arrive to the restaurant you talk to our sommelier team so that they understand your likes and preferences. They will be able to suggest your best option according to your personalized menu. We offer wine service by the bottle or by the glass.
For reservations of more than 10 diners, we offer a wine pairing proposal beforehand.

Can I give someone the Mugaritz Experience gift card as a present?

The concept of the Mugaritz Experience is an invitation to open your mind and not just your mouth, to enjoy our gastronomic philosophy over a lunch or dinner. A pairing prepared by our sommelier team will complement the menu. The Mugaritz Experience voucher will have a validity of 18 months, starting the date of expedition. It is the beneficiary’s decision when to come to enjoy it. The cost for the experience is 360 € per person, taxes included.

Can we go in a group?
 
Mugaritz has a capacity of up to 40 diners per service and can reach up to 160 after privatisation of the space. For s for more than 40, please send an e-mail to info@mugaritz.com.
 
Due to the design of our and chairs, and in order to offer the best possible service, the maximum capacity per table is 10 people. In larger groups, customers are seated at 2 or more with a similar number of diners next to each other.
 
As for the wine cellar, we usually suggest a series of basic options on which to build a proposal that adapts to the preferences or specific s of the group.
 
Working times

Lunch is served from 12:30 to 13:00 and dinner from 20:00 to 20:30 pm. Our recommendation is that your first choice is always a time before 14:00 (lunch) and before 21:30 (dinner). Please keep in mind that our diners normally take up to 2 hours and a half to fully enjoy the menu at a relaxed pace.

Is there a dress code?
Mugaritz does not have a dress code. To us, the most important thing, is that you enjoy the experience and that you feel comfortable.

How do I get to Mugaritz?
Mugaritz is located in a rural area, about 15-20 minutes from San Sebastian, which can only be reached by car. Our recommendation is to use the tool provided by Google Maps.

Are children allowed?
Of course they are! The young ones may join you in this experience. Even though we do not have a tasting menu for them, we recommend that when you make your reservation, you let us know about the little ones so we can take care of them.

Are pets allowed?
For the comfort of all our guests, pets are not allowed in the dining room.

Is there a wheelchair access available and an accesible toilet?
Our facilities are designed and adapted to serve the needs of people with reduced mobility. We would appreciate if you would inform us of any special need you may have, so we can adapt and provide comfort at your table or at any other area of the restaurant.

What other restaurants does IXO Grupo have?

In addition to Mugaritz, IXO Grupo has three establishments in San Sebastian: Topa Sukalderia (Basque-Latin cuisine, in the Gros district), MUKA (a proposal that invites you to explore firewith a large terrace overlooking the sea, located in the Kursaal Conference Centre) and Bodegón Alejandro (authentic Basque gastronomy, in the Old Part). In Bilbao we have two spaces, both located in the Guggeneheim Museum Bilbao: Nerua (a proposal based on essence, nature and territory) and Bistró Guggenhim Bilbao (fresh cuisine with local products).
