The AZTI-Tecnalia research centre and Mugaritz researched and developed a range of practical, handy, and easy-to-use aerosol sprays. The aim of the project was to create something so that everyday cooks could benefit from avant-garde techniques. The most practical idea we came up with was an aerosol spray which can be used for almost anything, from ordinary salad dressings to batters for pancakes or churros.

The New Food Spray range, produced by AZTI-Tecnalia, Ibersnacks and Mugaritz,was launched at Madrid Fusión 2013. At the event,AZTI-Tecnaliaand Mugaritz explained how such joint research projects can produce novel and pioneering ideas for new companies.
